My site offers a small selection of my current work. I hope that while you are browsing my online galleries you find textile art that inspires you. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing any piece or if you would like to see more of my work.
The driving force behind my artwork is the pleasure that I get from doing it; if I am able to please others that makes the work even more enjoyable. My artwork takes the form of a quilt and is designed to hang on your walls. I use a variety of fabrics from cotton to silks and will occasionally use fabrics that were created by other artists.
What's New
Some of the new work I have done has been because I have become facinated with Arashi Shibori, a Japanese technique where fabric is wrapped and tied around a pole. While the Japanese (and others) strive for uniformity, I have found I love the less uniform look. Take a look at Approaching Storm in the Quilt Gallery or below in the New Work link. Despite it's name, I find the quilt very soothing. How does it strike you?

Upcoming Events
"One of a Kind: Fiber and Furniture" exhibit at the Circle of Arts, Charlevoix, MI. Opening July 17, from 5 - 8PM.
The Silvertree Art Quilters will be having an exhibit at the Watershed Center, 13272 S. W. Bay Shore Dr., Traverse City, MI. The opening is Thursday, May 20th, from 5 - 8 PM. If you are in the area please plan to come.
